01The basics
B4Bharat is a B2B marketplace. These Terms are the contract between you and us.
These Terms cover the b4bharat.com website, the B4Bharat app and all related services (the "Platform"). They are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and need no signature. Our Privacy Policy and any signed partner agreement form part of them; a signed agreement prevails for that partner only.

02Eligibility & accounts
- Business use only. You must be 18+, competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and acting for a lawful business. We don't serve consumers or minors.
- Give accurate information and keep it current. We may ask for GSTIN, PAN, trade licence, bank details and ID, and may refuse or revoke registration if these can't be verified.
- You're responsible for everything done under your account, including by staff. Keep credentials and OTPs private; tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
- One active account per business, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
03Our role as an intermediary
We connect buyers and sellers. The sale contract is between the Seller and the Dukaandaar — not with us, unless a listing says so.
B4Bharat is an intermediary under s.2(1)(w) of the IT Act, 2000 and an e-commerce marketplace entity under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
- The sale contract forms directly between Seller and buyer. We are not a party to it.
- Sellers are responsible for listing accuracy, product quality, safety, legality, title, labelling, warranty and tax invoices.
- We don't verify every listing. Images and descriptions come from Sellers and may differ from goods delivered.
- Where we sell on our own account, the listing names us as seller of record.
- We follow the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 and act on valid takedown notices and lawful court or government orders.
04Your role
These apply on top of the general Terms. Use the Platform in more than one capacity and each set applies.
Dukaandaar Retailers & buyers
- Goods are for resale or business use, not personal consumption.
- Inspect on delivery; raise discrepancies within the window in Section 6.
- Meet the licensing, weights-and-measures, e-waste and resale rules for what you stock.
- Repay any credit on schedule. Overdue amounts may attract interest and suspension of ordering.
- Prices and slab discounts are indicative until an Order is confirmed.
Brand Brand partners & sellers
- You hold clear title and all rights and approvals needed to sell.
- No counterfeit, refurbished-as-new or IP-infringing goods.
- Honour confirmed Orders at the accepted price and dispatch within the agreed lead time.
- Issue a compliant GST invoice for every supply; meet your own tax obligations.
- Honour the warranties and after-sales commitments in your listings.
- Fees, commissions and settlement cycles follow your partner agreement, revisable on prior written notice.
Sarthi Field partners
- You are an independent contractor no employment, partnership or agency is created.
- No promises, warranties or price commitments on behalf of B4Bharat or any Brand Partner.
- No fake retailer accounts, inflated orders, or routing your own purchases through retailer accounts.
- You handle your own income tax. TDS applies where the law requires.
05Orders, pricing & payments
An Order becomes binding only when the Seller confirms it. Pay through the app. Every purchase gets a GST invoice.
- A listing is an invitation to offer. Your Order is the offer; a contract forms only when the Seller confirms in the app, and may be declined in full or part.
- Prices exclude GST unless stated. Savings figures and margin calculators are indicative. Obvious pricing errors may be cancelled and refunded.
- Stock is subject to availability. Minimum quantities, serviceability limits and per-account caps may apply.
- Pay only through the methods in the Platform, processed by RBI-regulated aggregators and banks. Cash or off-platform payments to a Sarthi, delivery partner or individual are at your own risk and not recognised by us.
- The Seller of record issues the GST invoice. Give a correct GSTIN input tax credit can't be reinstated if you supplied wrong details. TDS/TCS applies where required.
- Any credit or pay-later facility comes from a regulated lending partner under its own terms. B4Bharat is not a lender. We may set off amounts you owe against amounts payable to you.
06Delivery, returns & cancellation
- Delivery timelines are estimates. Risk passes on delivery to the nominated address or person.
- Inspect on delivery. Raise shortage, transit damage or wrong-item claims in the app within 48 hours, with photos of the sealed package, outer carton and goods. Later claims may not be accepted.
- Accepted goods are generally non-returnable, except where damaged in transit, defective on arrival, materially different from the listing, or short-supplied. The Seller's listed return policy governs restocking charges and reverse pickup.
- Cancel before dispatch within the window shown in the app. After dispatch it's at the Seller's discretion and may attract logistics charges.
- We may cancel any Order where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, non-serviceability, pricing error or breach of these Terms. Approved refunds return to the original payment method, subject to bank timelines.
07Sarthi commissions & payouts
- Commission accrues only on Orders validly attributed to you, delivered and paid for in full. Cycles, thresholds and slabs are shown in the app.
- Attribution follows Platform records, final absent manifest error.
- Commission on returned, cancelled or unpaid Orders is reversed or recovered from future payouts.
- Fraud, circular trading or artificial orders may mean withheld payouts, recovery of amounts paid, and account termination.
- Payouts go only to a bank account in the Sarthi's own verified name.
08Acceptable use
You must not use the Platform to:
- post unlawful, defamatory, obscene or deceptive content, or anything infringing an IP right;
- list counterfeit, smuggled, stolen, recalled, expired or prohibited goods;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your business affiliation;
- manipulate pricing, ratings, reviews, order volumes or incentive programmes;
- scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer or extract data automatically without our written consent;
- introduce viruses or code that disrupts the Platform;
- route transactions off-platform to avoid fees, with counterparties introduced through it;
- breach Indian law, including tax, FEMA, anti-money-laundering and consumer protection law.
09IP, third parties & disclaimers
The Platform, its software, design and the B4Bharat name and logo belong to or are licensed to us; you get a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use it for its intended business purpose. Brand names and product trademarks stay with their owners. By submitting listings, images, reviews or business information you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, format and display it for operating and promoting the Platform, and you warrant you hold the rights to do so.
Third-party services payment aggregators, logistics, lending partners, WhatsApp, analytics carry their own terms. We're not responsible for their availability, content or practices.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, title and non-infringement, and don't warrant uninterrupted service or the accuracy of any listing, price, savings estimate or stock indication.
Earnings illustrations are not promises. Any Sarthi income example, order projection or margin calculator is illustrative only.
We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, savings or data. Our aggregate liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is capped at the fees or commission we actually received from you in that period, or ₹10,000, whichever is higher. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.
10Termination, grievances & governing law
Raise problems in the app first, then with our Grievance Officer. Indian law applies; disputes go to arbitration.
Indemnity. You will indemnify B4Bharat and its affiliates, officers and employees against any claim, loss, liability, penalty or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or the law, content you submit, goods you list, supply, buy or resell, or any misrepresentation you make.
Termination. You may close your account at any time; closure doesn't cancel obligations already accrued. We may suspend or terminate your account, withhold payouts, cancel Orders or restrict features with or without notice where we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms or the law, your account is being used fraudulently, your documents are false or unverifiable, or continued access risks harm. Sections 9 and 10 survive termination.
Grievances. Most issues are resolved fastest through in-app support. If unresolved, escalate to our Grievance Officer, appointed under the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Their name and contact details are at b4bharat.com/help. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and ordinarily resolved within 30 days.
Governing law. Indian law applies. Disputes are first attempted in good faith within 30 days of written notice, failing which they go to arbitration before a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 — seat and venue [City], India, in English, award final and binding. Subject to that, the courts at [City] have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes. We may amend these Terms as law or our services change. The current version and effective date are always at the top of this page, and we give reasonable prior notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
